If you are in fact installing a fence for more privacy or to block a poor view, then the privacy fence is what you will probably want. Privacy fences are tall normally at a height from 6 to 8 foot and will block that hideous view, but also help to protect your home from intruders and will give you a sense of security. If you are simply looking for a fence option that adds curb appeal to your home, then consider a picket fence or a rail fence designed from wood or vinyl. Both styles can establish boundaries around your home well, but because they are shorter then a privacy fence, they don’t offer privacy like their taller counterpart.
