If you want one of the fastest compound bows in the market today, get the 2010 model of the PSE X force series. The model has been subjected to the speed testing standards of the IBO. Its rated speed is therefore official. The PSE line of bows has made several firsts in bow manufacturing history. It has succeeded in combining speed and accuracy and it has eliminated the noise and the jolting effect usually met with in speed bows,

Today’s hunting bows – the PSE X Force Vendetta XL

The lowers rated in the PSE series for speed is the Vendetta X Force. Even though this model is designed and constructed with speed in mind, it can be drawn back and fully retracted without much resistance. The model has been tested for speed and is rated at 328 feet per second. So effortlessly can it be drawn back that people who use it and are unaware of its model may think it is not a speed bow.

The Vendetta is a quiet instrument that has a minimum of jolt even when the bow snaps into its original position. As a result of its stability, it propels the arrow straight forward. It gives the user a greater deal of accuracy. With most other speed bows, accuracy has to be traded off for speed and vice versa. In the Vendetta, the two characteristics have been successfully combined.

Today’s hunting bows – PSE X Force Omen

Another one of the speed bows of PSE is the X Force Omen. The gadget has a publicized speed of 366 fps. Similar to the Vendetta, it combines speed with silent performance and shock free releases. It is based on the double cam construction that is also used in the Vendetta. It bends backwards and downwards with complete ease and the user feels no shock when the bow rebounds into position.

A pair of past parallel limbs cushions the user from the jolt when the bow is released, vibrations are controlled by Vibracheck backstop cushions and the noise is checked by cable guards.

Today’s hunting bows – PSE X Force DreamSeason

The PSE X Force Dream Season is the most expensive of the PSE series. It combines speed, accuracy and force in a sleek compound bow. So powerful is its thrust that specially made and thicker bulls eyes will be need for practicing with this model. It simply goes through the normal bulls eyes.

The difference between its published speed and its real speed seems to be small. It can shoot an arrow at such speeds that the arrow seems to just show up on the target.

Will there ever be a speed limit for hunting bows

When the PSE series came out, people could not believe the 366 fps advertised speed of its fastest model. That figure is so close to the theoretical limit of speed for today’s hunting bows, which is 400 fps, that people have begun thinking if there is such a speed limit at all. The chances seem to be good that in a few years that ceiling figure will be reached and exceeded.
