First you need to know that you are not fighting this battle alone. At least once in a man's life he will consider what the effects of hair loss might be for him. The men who say they aren't worried just don't want to admit that they probably spend lots of time examining their hair lines in the mirror. The reason so many men worry about losing their hair is that hair loss is incredibly wide spread. Hair loss is not contagious. But you should understand how it works and what causes it. We will take you through each of these things during the course of this article.

Surgical treatment is one of the first things many men consider in treating hair loss. This is when you have hair follicles surgically implanted into your scalp. Some compare it to grafting of skin only this is for growing hair. This however does not turn out great for all men. Some have reported poor to no success with this procedure causing them to actually look worse than prior to surgery. Sometimes men do get the desired result and end up with great hair. A few men will see obvious problems amost immediately. Definately discuss this option with a medical professional before signing on the dotted line.

Accepting the condition can be difficult until you fully understand why it's happening to begin with. One reason for thinning hair is Telogen Defluvium. That sounds like some sort of weird third world disease. What it actually is, however, is a condition in which your hair has simply gone into the "resting" part of its growth cycle. Stress plays a large role in this condition.

If your hair loss has become sudden and severe this could be the culpret. Consulting a physcian regarding possible solutions is your best bet. He may tell you to simply reduce your stress levels to get your hair back.

Were you aware that some shampoo has been proven to cause hair loss? Some shampoos simply react badly to the type of hair that you have. This is especially true of specialty shampoos or shampoos that have been prescribed by doctors. Consider switching to a new shampoo upon the first siting of hair loss. This might be the least expensive way to cure your problem. Obviously you'll want to talk to a doctor as well, just to keep your bases covered. Your hair loss can be a result of many things. There also a multitude of ways to combat that balding scalp. Talk with your doctor. He or she will probably have a few different things you can try to both slow down the rate of your hair loss and re-grow some of the hair that you have lost. There is always shaving your head in times of frustration when you are just done dealing with it all.
