When San Francisco Police Department Det. Rebecca Madsen (Debbie Jones) is assigned with a grisly homicide case, a fingerprint leads the girl to Jack Sylvane (Jeffrey Pierce), a former Alcatraz Island prisoner who died years ago. Given her family history- the two her grandfather and surrogate uncle, Ray Archer (Robert Forster), were guards at the particular prison -Madsen's interest is actually immediately piqued, and once an enigmatic, knows-everything-but-tells-nothing government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) tries for you to impede her investigation, she is doggedly determined.
